With less than five weeks to go before the November elections, Right-leaning gossip monger and pseudo-journalist Matt Drudge can't some up with anything less pointless than the equivalent of the "earth tones" meme from the 2000 election cycle.
Could it be separation anxiety induced by his recent estrangement from his pet gerbil Tucker Sullivan Cheney IV?
Could it be the typically Republican fear of discussing the issues in favor of trotting out trivial bullshit?
Political spectators who aren't partial to the Republican kool-aid have wondered how long Drudge can maintain any sort of reputation when doing nothing but pulling things, seemingly at random from his ass.
